North Boulder
Set beneath the Flatirons in North Boulder, this home already had beautiful architecture and an incredible connection to its surroundings. Rather than starting over, our goal was to help the house better reflect the family who lived there, embracing bold design decisions, layered materials, and a collection of art that gave every room its own personality.
The biggest transformation happened in the kitchen. By removing a significant portion of an exterior wall and installing a NanaWall system, we completely changed how the family experiences the space. The kitchen now opens effortlessly to the backyard, allowing the Flatirons to become part of the daily view while creating an easy connection between indoor living and afternoons making it just as easy to entertain a crowd as it is to keep an eye on the kids playing in the backyard..
Throughout the home, thoughtful architectural updates added warmth, texture, and purpose. A fireplace wrapped in handmade sculptural tile became the anchor of the living room, while custom white oak lockers transformed the entry into a hardworking drop zone designed to keep up with the rhythms of family life. One of our favorite moments is the Bantry, a former mudroom reimagined as a dramatic butler’s pantry layered in botanical wallpaper, handcrafted tile, custom cabinetry, and open shelving. Rather than hiding a utilitarian space, we celebrated it.
The home office was designed to make working from home feel every bit as intentional as the rest of the house. Wrapped in richly toned grasscloth and anchored by a bespoke gallery wall, the space feels warm, creative, and quietly inspiring, proving that functional spaces deserve just as much personality as the rooms where we gather.
Custom doors, carefully selected lighting, natural stone, richly textured materials, and an eclectic collection of contemporary artwork complete the story, giving each room its own identity while maintaining a cohesive thread throughout the home.
The result is a house that feels collected rather than decorated. Every room has its own point of view, yet together they tell one story: a home designed for a family that values beauty, creativity, and spaces that are meant to be fully lived in.
