This two-hour working session is designed to give you professional, actionable guidance for your home. We’ll walk through your space together, talk through ideas, and discuss both high-level recommendations and practical next steps. It’s a collaborative conversation meant to help you make confident decisions, whether you’re considering a full redesign or simply want to improve how a space feels and functions.
I also share trusted local resources and vendors that may be helpful as you move forward. There are no formal deliverables provided after this meeting; instead, you’ll leave with clear direction, fresh ideas, and the insight to take your next steps with confidence.
The consultation fee is $550, covering a 30-minute phone call to align on goals ahead of the two-hour in-home working session. Travel fees apply for projects outside the Boulder area.

This service is ideal if your home already feels mostly complete but could use a more cohesive, elevated look. Maybe you have the right furniture but the room still feels unfinished, or you’d like help refining the details that bring everything together.
We’ll begin with an in-home consultation to walk through your space, discuss your goals, and identify areas that could benefit from adjustment or enhancement. From there, I’ll create follow-up mood boards that capture your aesthetic direction and outline recommendations for lighting, artwork placement, paint color, and accessories. I also provide suggestions for additional furniture pieces if the space requires it. The goal is to unify your home with a professional, thoughtful vision that reflects your personal style.
The initial in-home consultation is $550, followed by a design rate of $225 per hour for any additional design time.

Whether you’re furnishing a new home, reimagining several spaces, or undertaking a larger scale renovation, this service provides a comprehensive and highly collaborative approach to interior design. Each project is thoughtfully tailored to the client, with a focus on creating spaces that feel cohesive, functional, timeless, and deeply personal.
All Interior Design projects begin with an In-Home Consultation, which allows us to walk through the space together, discuss your goals and priorities, and gain a clear understanding of the overall scope of work. Following the consultation, a custom design proposal is created outlining the anticipated scope, design direction, and recommended next steps for the project.
From there, we develop a comprehensive design plan that may include concept and mood boards, space planning, floor plans, elevations, finish selections, furnishings, lighting, window treatments, artwork, and styling details. Throughout the process, each layer of the design is carefully considered so the home feels intentional, balanced, and beautifully complete.
Slayton Interiors works closely with clients, architects, contractors, and trades to thoughtfully guide projects from concept through installation. With extensive experience in both renovations and furnishing projects, the studio helps clients navigate the many decisions involved in the design process while creating spaces that feel refined, livable, and uniquely their own.

Building a custom home offers a unique opportunity to thoughtfully shape every aspect of how you and your family will live for years to come. Slayton Interiors collaborates with clients, architects, and builders from the earliest stages of the project, helping ensure the home’s architecture, interior design, and the way you plan to live in the home are considered together from the very beginning.
All Custom Home projects begin with an initial client meeting, where we discuss your vision, lifestyle, priorities, and the current stage of your project, whether you’re just beginning to explore ideas or already working with an architect and builder. This meeting provides an opportunity to gain a clear understanding of the overall scope of work and how you envision living in your new home before key design and construction decisions are made. Following the meeting, a custom design proposal is created outlining the anticipated scope of work, design direction, and recommended next steps for the project.
Early involvement allows the design team to participate in programming, space planning, and architectural review long before construction begins. Together, we thoughtfully consider how each space will function, how rooms connect to one another, and how details such as lighting, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, millwork, furnishings, and finishes work together to create a cohesive home. This collaborative approach often helps identify opportunities and resolve potential challenges early in the process, minimizing costly changes during construction while ensuring the home’s interior and architecture feel seamlessly connected.
Throughout the project, Slayton Interiors works closely with the entire design and construction team, guiding the countless decisions that shape a custom home from concept through completion. The result is a home that is not only beautifully designed, but thoughtfully tailored to the people who will live there, creating spaces that feel timeless, functional, and deeply personal.
The Process
01 — Submit an Inquiry
Every project begins with a conversation. Complete the inquiry form with a few details about your home, project, and goals. This gives us an opportunity to learn more about what you’re hoping to accomplish before we connect.
02 — Connect & Discover
After reviewing your inquiry, we’ll schedule a 30-minute phone call to discuss your project, answer any initial questions, and talk through your goals, timeline, and investment expectations. It’s a relaxed conversation and a chance to see whether we’re a good fit for your project.
03 — Initial Consultation
All projects begin with an In-Home Consultation, a dedicated service designed to explore your home, discuss your goals and priorities, and identify opportunities for your space. Following our consultation, you’ll receive a custom design proposal outlining the recommended scope of work and next steps. Learn more about the In-Home Consultation here.
04 — Design Begins
Once your proposal is approved, the design process begins. From concept development and space planning to furnishings, finishes, and project coordination, each decision is thoughtfully considered to create a home that feels cohesive, timeless, and uniquely yours.
